Atopos Unlocked is the new program of ATOPOS cvc presented in its neoclassical building on 72 Salaminos st, Metaxourgeio. During this new program, Atopos introduces Unlocked, its new research focusing on the depiction of the nude body and how it is captured by the new generation of artists of Tumblr and social media. The outcome of this research will be presented in a special publication in 2015, in collaboration with la Gaîté lyrique, Paris.

A key part of the new Atopos Unlocked program is a form of an Open Studio called Occupy Atopos. Through a series of special monthly visits, artists participating in the Unlocked project, will occupy Atopos’ Open Studio creating original artworks. Visitors will have the opportunity to witness and explore the research stages of Unlocked, whereas portfolios and projects of the participating artists will be showcased. Occupy Atopos launches with the participation of Greek-Ukrainian artist David Marinos.

During the Atopos Unlocked project, Atopos will also open its archives for the public to see rare paper dresses as part of a presentation that will change on a frequent basis. Visitors will be able to explore Paper Fashion collection that includes paper creations by Issey Miyake, Helmut Lang, Maison Martin Margiela, Walter Van Beirendonck and Hussein Chalayan, disposable paper dresses of the 60s, Japanese kimonos of the Edo period, the Campell Soup dress after Andy Warhol, the Lisa Dress by Robert Wilson, the Yellow Pages dress by Howard Hodgkin and more.

Additionally, a number of works of the Mon Petit Chou project will be exhibited for the first time. Key pieces by the first two ‘Choux’, British designer Craig Green and French art critic and artist Clo’e Floirat will be part of Atopos Unlocked.
