Paper Polo

A ‘Yellow Pages’ dress was given in 2006 to Demna Gvasalia (b. 1981), who had just graduated from Antwerp’s Royal Academy. Gvasalia, one of the most influential designers today, chose to explore homosexuality through his creation and transformed the dress into the wearable ‘Paper Polo’, on which he sketched the logo CAMPUS ROYAL BAREBACK. Since 2006, the Georgian fashion designer has led design teams at Maison Martin  Margiela, Louis Vuitton, founded Vetements and today is the creative director at Balenciaga.
