After the success of the British Council’s Sustainable Fashion workshop in France, a two-day event dedicated to Sustainability in Fashion will be taking place in Athens in cooperation with Atopos cvc.
The two-day event will be hosted on the neoclassical building of 72 Salaminos street in Metaxourgeio on Thursday February 2nd 2017 at 18:00. The evening includes a discussion on Sustainable Fashion with important invited speakers and guests from Greece as well as abroad, a presentation of rare paper dresses from the Atopos collection and film screenings. More particularly, Alice Holmberg (social entrepreneur and associate lecturer in Central Saint Martins) Orsola De Castro (founder and director of Fashion Revolution), Stamos Fafalios (Director of Atopos Contemporary Visual Culture) and Zeus & Dione (fashion designers) will be the key participants in a discussion moderated by journalists Efi Falida (Ta Nea) and Elis Kiss (Kathimerini english edition, K).
Additionally, on Friday February 3rd 2017 Alice Holmberg will be running a Sustainable Fashion workshop for young fashion designers. No fees are required and all interested parties should apply to the relevant open call.
About the workshop
-The workshop is offered free of charge and it will take place on Friday February 3rd from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
-No more than 20 applicants will be selected to participate in the workshop.
-The workshop is addressed to young fashion designers.
-All applicants should bring and use their personal laptops during the workshop.
-All applicants will be notified through mail until January 20th.
-The workshop will take place in English.
