”Vulnerable Fluffy Monsters” is the official opening event of Fluffy Library @ Arnolfini.

Antigoni Tsagkaropoulou as “Fishwife” invited Lykourgos Porfyris (POP Tektonism) to collaborate with for a performative audio-visual narration of fairy tales dealing with hybridity, sexuality, vulnerability, trauma and radical tenderness.
POP Tektonism's fairy tale "Vulnerable Monsters" is the story of the white little thingy who is transformed into a Cockatoo parrot. The story explores sexuality, disability and the monster identity, through Tektonism’s personal experiences as a pansexual albino and half blind. Vulnerable Monsters will be told in four chapters, illustrated with drawings and songs inspired by friendship and radical tenderness, all performed atop Fluffy.Fishwife will share the story of Fluffy and their friends, the Hairy Fairy, the Dragon Princess, the Pony, the little Mermaid…

The creation of the fairy tales took place inside Fluffy Library's first incarnation in ATOPOS cvc and the stories will grow as they will come to Arnolfini.
POP Tektonism is  Lykourgos Porfyris ' sound art project where he is testing the aesthetics of “rock-star” lifestyles. With an emphasis in pop music, they present a vulnerable image of a “star”, which contradicts to the polished and empowered image of a rock-star. In their performances, they exhibit weakness, uncomfortableness, prone behavior and trauma. In their songs, they are celebrating disability, bisexual confusion and queer negativity.

Wednesday 10 July, 6pm – 9pm
