The publication Office of Hydrocommons, edited by Eleni Riga and published by ATOPOS cvc, brings together the work of “hydro-researchers” and “eco-visionaries” from diverse fields, including the arts, marine biology, agronomy, urbanism, sports, and activism. These contributors tackle pressing environmental and social challenges connected to the Mediterranean Sea.

This specialized book features critical essays on artistic and curatorial practices involving water, alongside reflections on the Mediterranean as a pivotal and contested geography. Key contributors include Dr. Bronwyn Bailey-Charteris (author of The Hydrocene: Eco-Aesthetics in the Age of Water [2024, Routledge]), Chiara Cartuccia (Visiting Curator 2022–24 at UNIDEE / Fondazione Pistoletto and Director of the curatorial platform EX NUNC) and Eleni Riga, curator of the Office of Hydrocommons.

The Office of Hydrocommons project was conceived and curated by Eleni Riga, initiated under a commission by ATOPOS cvc Artistic Director Vassilis Zidianakis as part of the #OccupyAtopos framework and continues to foster meaningful global collaborations.
