As part of the parallel program of the ‘RRRIPP! Paper Fashion’ exhibition at the Benaki Museum in 2007, ATOPOS cvc invited Dutch designer Bas Kosters to organise a workshop with paper. Kosters created a red dress using non-woven material, which is a portrait of Vassilis Zidianakis, artistic director of ATOPOS cvc. Bas Kosters further developed the monster dress and in 2009, the Monster Dress (as we know it today) was part of his “Freedom” collection.
