Atopos Unbound has begun its international program with its collaboration with the International Library of Fashion Research in Oslo, in their latest project Paper Afore Press.
This project was developed in an effort to address urgent ecological questions such as: What’s the role of paper today? How has printing, binding, folding evolved over time, as we go from paper to electrons? And what is worth cutting down trees for? Paper garments from the RRRIPP!! Collection were featured in the exhibition catalogue, along with a collaborator’s note on the changing qualities of paper garments in relation to the changing socioeconomic and ecologic landscape. The RRRIPP!! Paper Fashion catalogue is also featured in the exhibition Paper Afore Press which will be on show from March 29, 2023, to August 20, 2023.
