ATOPOS cvc proudly announces its 2nd collaboration with the ARCAthens residency programme in Athens from September to November 2022. During this partnership two fellows participate in the Occupy Atopos Residency programme and work on their project for the ARCAthens.
The fellows in residence during this collaboration are the curator Anita Bateman and the visual artist Assaf Hinden. They will stay in Atopos premises from September 18th until November 14th.

Occupy Atopos Residency originated in 2014 in the Atopos headquarters in the heart of Athens and it has hosted photographer Ren Hang,  menswear designer Craig Green and the artist/researcher Eleanor Vonne Brown in collaboration with the artist/graphic designer Roland Brauchli, amongst others. Its mission is to observe and assist in a supportive way the creative process and progress of contemporary artists; it is curated by Vassilis Zidianakis.  Occupy Atopos Residency takes place in Atopos headquarters, 72 Salaminos str, which has been declared a historic monument and a work of art by the Greek Ministry of Culture.

ARCAthens (Artist Residency Center Athens) is a New York City 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to actively promoting growth in the visual arts community through a comprehensive residency program. Through the ARCAthens Residency, artists and curators are provided with the time, space, and access that allow an immersive experience as they live and create in Athens, Greece. Following the success of the Spring 2019 Pilot Program, ARCAthens is continuing the mission to support the arts and build international bridges for meaningful cultural exchange.
