In the summer of 2024, ATOPOS cvc collaborated with Dr. Daphne Mohajer va Perasan and d_archive (team of designers: Martina Ponzoni & Erisa Ibrahimi) in the context of its program Affective Archives.
The research residency and workshop were held at ATOPOS cvc and focused on historical garments and the process of reverse-engineering and digitizing them.
In the context of the research residency, various objects of the ATOPOS cvc collection were studied and recorded. The results of the collaboration can now be found online at the d_archive.
D_archive’s purpose is to support the preservation of fashion heritage and make it accessible digitally. These replicas are not mere representations of an item’s appearance; they carry technical information, making them insightful educational tools. By combining 3D technologies and traditional techniques, d_archive creates accurate 3D replicas of historical and vintage clothing and accessories and offers them freely to visitors.

The following ATOPOS cvc objects can now be found and explored in the d_archive site by doing register. Each object can be found in the form of an accurate 3D replica, including insightful research information, as well as its design pattern.
