A new entry in ATOPOS cvc collection, the Paper Kimono (ATOPOS cvc 2016.08.052).
It’s possibly a ‘full size’ Hinagata or practice kimono, made of recycled pages from ledger books. Japan, 20th century. It was probably used as an under kimono for winter to keep warm.
